The ball tool is the one you pick up most, so the ball matters. Plastic balls develop marks that print into every petal; polished steel stays perfectly smooth.
The steel heads also have weight, so they glide over the paste instead of dragging it. Eight sizes, from a tiny bead for flower centres to a large ball for wide petals, cover everything from blossoms to full roses.
