A wooden pin leaves its grain in the paste and drinks up the cornflour. A plastic one that is too short leaves ridges where each pass overlaps the last.
This pin is solid, seamless and 32.5 cm long, so one pass covers the width of a strip or a small cake cover. The polished surface releases the paste cleanly and wipes down in seconds between colours.
Non-toxic plastic, 35 × 325 mm. Hand wash and dry before storing.
