A petal thinned on a hard surface tears. The same petal thinned on foam bends, cups and ruffles, because the pad gives way just enough under the tool.
Two pads, one firm and one soft, let you choose how much the paste moves. The holes along the edge hold wired petals and leaves upright while they set, and the smooth surface wipes clean between colours.
